Let it Snow 2008/2009
OFFICIAL RULES
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
Starting at midnight Monday, December 1, 2008 through 11:59pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009, or until nine (9) snow blowers are given away, entrants may enter the Let It Snow contest via the internet at Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc. - WWMT’s (“FBMI”) homepage, by going to http://www.wwmt.com and click on Let It Snow Contest. No walk-ins, call-ins, faxes or emails will be accepted. Only one entry per person per day. Multiple entries from one email address or household, in a single day, will be disqualified.
PRIZE SELECTION: Beginning Monday, December 1, 2008 WWMT WeatherFirst personnel will monitor and determine snowfall measurement in a 24-hour period at the WeatherFirst weather station, from 5pm to 5pm. When it snows three inches (3”) within a one-day, twenty-four hour period, starting at 5:00 pm to 4:59:59 pm, one person’s name will be drawn from all eligible entries. On the day the name is drawn, the name and town will be announced during the 5:00pm newscast weather block and the person will have up to fifteen (15) minutes to call in and win. Up to nine (9) snow blowers will be given away. Winners will be notified by telephone and announced on News 3 at 11pm newscasts. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the results of the contest, which will be final and binding in all respects.
Limit one prize per person, email address, family and/or household. No one is eligible to win any FBMI contest until six (6) months has past since last time of winning any FBMI contest where the prize had a value of $50 or more. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received prior to any following mentioned drawing dates and the amount of snowfall in the period of time from December 1, 2008 through Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Each qualified entry will have an equal chance of winning. If prize is not claimed by two (2) weeks after the eligible contestant’s name is drawn and the winner is contacted, the prize will revert back to WWMT.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: Winning entrants will receive an affidavit that must be presented to redeem their prize from Steensma Lawn and Power Equipment, Inc., 7561 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, for a Model 38172 Toro Power Lite Re-coil snow blower (or equivalent) valued at $380. Winners are responsible to either pick up their prize or have the prize shipped at the winner’s expense. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Approximate total value of contest is $3,800.00
GENERAL RULES AND ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to legal residents of the state of Michigan 18 years of age or older as of Monday, December 1, 2008.
Employees of FBMI, any and all sponsors, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and each employee’s immediate family member (mother, father, sister, brother, any child, husband, wife) and those living in their same households are not eligible to participate or win a prize.
All winners will be required to supply personal information up to but not limited to their social security number. Liability for any applicable federal, state, or other taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winner and no prize will be awarded without receipt of the proper, fully completed legal paperwork, including but not limited to a W-9 (may be a substitute form) as determined by Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc. and its sponsors.
FBMI or any and all sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected entries, entries not received in time for the selection of the winners, or for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, disconnection of phone lines, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission which may limit a user’s ability to participate in this contest.
PARTICIPATING MERCHANTS/SPONSORS: Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc, and Steensma Lawn and Power Equipment, Inc., 7561 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
MISCELLANEOUS: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes (or portion thereof) except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability and then for a prize (or applicable portion thereof) of equal or greater value. Prize winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (where legal) within 10 days of issuance of notification. Noncompliance with the foregoing or return of prize notification as non-deliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entrants agree, by entering, that 1.) Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, suppliers, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies may use (unless prohibited by law), if entrant is a winner, entrant’s name, city and state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising trade and/or any other purposes in any media now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission or notification, and 2.) The aforementioned parties and all of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless by entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage to entrant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize and any travel or travel-related activity thereto or participation in this promotion.
Winner’s consent to use their name in connection with the contest and all images are the exclusive property of FBMI.
FBMI reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, suspend, and/or terminate this Contest should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of FBMI corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest. In case of such suspension or termination, a notice will be posted, and at FBMI’s discretion, winners will be selected from eligible non-suspect entries received prior to event requiring such termination or suspension. FBMI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant if his or her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the contest.
Correspondence relating to entry in the sweepstakes will not be answered or acknowledged.
FBMI maintains the right to change or modify these rules at any time, without notice. FBMI and any and all sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of any and all prizes.
